Frequently Asked Questions
What styles of dances do you offer? Our Recreational Program offers classes in: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acro and Hip-Hop. In addition to these classes, our Pre-Competitive and Competitive Programs also offer classes in: Lyrical/Contemporary, Stretch and Strength as well as Cardio and Conditioning.
What age do your programs start at? Our age groups are: Petite (2-3 yrs), Minis (4-6 yrs), Juniors (7-9 yrs), Intermediate (10-14yrs), Teen (14-17 yrs) and Adult (18+)

What is the dress code? CEDA Recreational Dress Code / Competitive Dress Code
When is the recital? Our year end recital date will be announced at the beginning of the dance season.
Do you offer Competitive Team Auditions? Auditions take place at the studio in June. We also offer private auditions to those who cannot attend the first audition. Please email Caroleen at creativeedgedance@outlook.com for more info on private auditions.
Do your dance classes qualify for the children’s fitness tax credit? Yes, our dance classes qualify for the children’s fitness tax credit. We supply our tax receipts to parents in the spring.
Can I watch my child’s dance class? Yes, we have viewing windows for each of our studios. You are welcome to watch! 2020/2021 NOTICE: Please refer to our Covid-19 Protocols in reference to parental entry to the building during this time.
Do you offer competitive classes? Yes! We have a Pre-competitive and Competitive dance team. The Competitive team has mandatory classes during the week and choreography each Sunday. They compete in several local competitions as well as at least one out of town competition. This program is great for dedicated dancers who have a passion for the art of dance.

Does the studio fundraise? We have optional fundraisers run by the parents of the competitive team. Please contact the studio if you are interested in being involved in the fundraising events.How long does the dance season run? Our dance season is split into 3 terms. Term 1: September-November, Term 2: December-February, Term 3: March-May and ends with a Year end Recital in June.
